YOKI Pao De Queijo / Pan de Queso (Cheese Bread)
Pao De Queijo is a typical Brazillian preparation, found in recipe books in all regions of Brazil. Its basic ingredients are tapioca starch, eggs and cheese. The main characteristics of the Brazillian Cheese Balls are the crunchiness of the crust and the softness of the dough, it also has a very pleasant cheese and tapioca flavor. It is usually eaten as an appetizer, with tea, or a cup of coffee. It's very easy to make Brazillian Pao De Queijo using the YOKI Pao De Queijo Mix. If you don't understand the instructions on the packaging which is in Portuguese, here's how it's done:
In a mixing bowl, pour the contents of a YOKI Pao De Queijo Mix and add 2 eggs and 1/2 cup water. Make a dough. Divide into 8 - 12 balls. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. Take them out and let them cool for about 5 minutes or so, and they're ready to serve! They're the best when they're fresh out of the oven. Serve these the next time you're having friends and family over. They're a treat everybody will love!
